Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Ironman Football League. The Ironman Football League is a league designed for both a special caliber of player who wishes to further develop his skills for advancement and for the player who simply just loves to play the game of football and compete.
Unlike some other traditional Semi-pro leagues, the Ironman Football League believes that the league must be run with quality and professionalism above all else. The league is strongly involved with its communities and its youth, as IFL teams are expected to participate in charity events, fundraisers, visiting a children's hospital or giving our community a helping hand.
The IFL firmly believes and adheres to its special brand of football. In addition to assisting its franchises in building a more stable and successful organization, the IFL promotes its teams on a daily basis to increase the league and its teams visibility and awareness. It is the goal of the IFL for the league and its franchises to become self sustaining successful business entities that thrive on excellence on and off the field. The IFL is always looking for highly self motivated and business savvy team owners whose dedication and principles equal that of the league’s vision.
Expansion team selection
Every expansion or new team who wants to be a part of the IFL must go through a screening process. All new teams are eligible for membership in the Ironman Football League unless the team is in violation of the leagues demographic mandate.
Prospective members must demonstrate and maintain an organization framework with an elected board or sole owner, internal policies and rule consistent with League rules and policies, and a commitment to the League to uphold the rules and standards. Acceptance is contingent on the leagues administrative board’s approval.
The league has an application form for new teams who would like to join. New organizations must submit a completed application to the Board. All applications must be received no later than January 20th of the current year. Petitions received after that date will be held until the end of the regular season before the administrative Board level actions or discussions take place.
All new clubs shall enter a probation period of not less than one year and not more than three years prior to receiving full membership.
