Brian Prochniak was what the Ironman Football League is all about. Off the field he was a family-man, hard-worker and a gentle giant. On the field he was the meanest middle linebacker and offensive lineman most players would ever know. Brian played true Ironman football in '97 and '98 as he started at middle linebacker on defense and offensive tackle on offense. Back then, most players played both ways. In 2000, with Brian anchoring the offensive line, the Milwaukee Panthers went 5-3 in their regular season and went on to Iron Bowl IV to meet the reigning champions, the Milwaukee Raiders. The Raiders were the heavy favorites going into the game, but the Panthers stuck to their plan of hard-nosed running and "pass when then have to." Thanks to Brian and the rest of the Panther offensive line, their team ran through, around, and over the Raiders defense earning them their first championship. Brian Prochniak was a true warrior.
