Blue Devils prevail over Hitmen 22-19
Burlington, WI – An NFC powerhouse squared off against an AFC powerhouse last Saturday night as the Muskego Hitmen travelled to Burlington to take on the mighty Blue Devils. Electricity filled the air as the intensity level on the field remained high throughout the entire game.
Burlington quarterback Warren Arnold bounced back from a forgettable performance six days earlier in Milwaukee, and threw a pair of touchdowns against the Hitmen defense. Free Safety Jeremy Fischer, sealed the deal for Burlington with a late fourth quarter interception that sent the Hitmen home packing in a thrilling 22-19 Blue Devil victory.
The win improves the Blue Devils record to (3-1) as they sit a top of the American Conference while the Hitmen fall to (2-1) and second place in the National Conference right behind the Madison Mustangs who are in first place. The Blue Devils will travel to Fond du Lac next Saturday to take on the Crusaders (1-3) while the Hitmen return home to face the Rock County Gladiators (1-2) at Muskego High School.
