Moving on up
Milwaukee, WI – The Milwaukee Iron of the Arena Football League have recently announced that they have signed stand-out wide receiver Ricardo Levy, formerly a member of the Ironman Football League, to a free agent contract.
A source close to the Iron said that they were very impressed with Levy’s natural talents and potential. Levy joins the Iron after spending just two seasons with the Wauwatosa Spartans where he consistently showed off his excellent speed and tantalizing moves to opposing defenses. Levy played Division III College football for Concordia University from 2004 to 2007. During his four years at Concordia, Levy was one of the team's top receivers.
"We knew Ric possessed the skills needed to make the leap to this level, and he put in the work to make himself an attractive prospect at the Iron try-out," said Luke Kujath, owner, Wauwatosa Spartans Football Club. "I know our whole team is very excited for him, and I think it bears witness to the level of talent that can be found in the IFL."
Levy will report for training camp on Tuesday, March 23rd to begin his arena career with the Milwaukee Iron.
The Milwaukee Iron, which will begin its first season as a member of the Arena Football League, plays home games at the Bradley Center in downtown Milwaukee. In 2010, the Iron will play host to legendary AFL teams such as the Iowa Barnstormers, Tampa Bay Storm, Arizona Rattlers, Chicago Rush, Utah Blaze, Cleveland Gladiators, and the Orlando Predators.
