Wauwatosa, WI – Last Saturday night the Madison Mustangs became the first team in Ironman Football League history to win three Ironbowl Championships in a row by defeating a tough Burlington Blue Devils team 38-24 in Ironbowl XIV.
The Madison Mustangs have had a huge target on their backs for the entire 2010 season, but none bigger then in Ironbowl XIV. There waiting for the defending champs was a Burlington Blue Devils team that gave the Mustangs all they could handle in a hard fought battle. In the end when the dust settled and the final whistle blew, the Mustangs walked away with a historic third Ironbowl championship and another perfect season.
There were no losers in Ironbowl XIV, there were only the victors and the vanquished. The Blue Devils played with determination and passion all through the game but came up just short on their quest for a championship.
