Janesville, WI – The Rock County Gladiators fell to the Wauwatosa Spartans, 19-7 in Ironman football League Action in the rain Saturday night at Monterey Stadium. The Spartans scored on a 70 yard touchdown pass with two seconds remaining in the second quarter to take the lead for good 14-7.
Wide receiver Jamar Ayers scored the Gladiators lone touchdown on a 1 yard reverse. Quarterback Jeff Supernaw and Marchez Range hooked up on a 67 yard pass play to set up the touchdown. A safety combined with a Spartan 21 yard field goal in the fourth quarter closed out the scoring. The Gladiators (1-1) host the undefeated Madison Mustangs (3-0), at 6 pm next Saturday at Monterey Stadium while the Spartans (2-1) get set to host the Junkyard dogs (2-0) at Raabe stadium. Kickoff is set for 7pm.
