IFL strikes it big with Starry Night Media

Starry Night Media

The Ironman Football League has solidified an exclusive deal with Starry Night Media Inc. for the creation of a weekly League highlight show that will be professionally edited for television. That is what League Founder & CEO Chris Chudada proudly announced to all of the team owners at the most recent owners meeting.

“There are a lot of different advantages to this deal that the League will benefit from,” says Chudada. “But the main goal of this project is to capitalize on the increased awareness and recognition that it will bring to the League.”

According to the deal, throughout the entire 2010 IFL season, Starry Night Media will film every IFL game. It will then edit the game film to accommodate the format needed to later air the games on television. The IFL and Starry Night Media are planning to create an hour-long weekly show containing the highlights of each past week's games. The first show will air during the second week of the IFL season and the last will air the week after the Ironbowl.

Starry Night Media plans to create a weekly highlight show complete with voiceover commentary and analysis of each game. Highlight music will also be added to each segment. The format and style of the highlight show will be similar to Cable Television’s “Inside the NFL” show. League officials say they are in final negotiations with Time Warner Cable to broadcast the weekly show and hope to make an announcement soon regarding show times and schedules.

“We see great opportunities partnering with the IFL for many reasons,” Says Don Starry, Owner of Starry Night Media. “The first being added exposure for Starry Night throughout Wisconsin, specifically in the Metro areas of Milwaukee and Madison. Secondly, with the IFL being a leader in quality football entertainment, there is an opportunity for us to broaden the scope of their advertising opportunities for their sponsors and bring further recognition to the league. Third, we see strong potential in our relationship with the outer communities in the league such as West Bend, Fond du Lac, Burlington, Janesville and Rockford. While delivering the IFL message to these communities, STARRY NIGHT will be adding exposure to its product line as well.”

In addition to creating a weekly show, Starry Night Media will create and display custom advertisements for the IFL on their Starry Television and Countertop Display Screens which can be found in various sports taverns, restaurants, and local businesses located across the state of Wisconsin. Starry Night Media will also provide the League with both edited and raw footage of every filmed game to store and use in its video library. Individual team highlight videos will also be discussed.

“The Midwest is such a strong football community making this a win/win/win opportunity for all involved,” Starry added.

In addition to announcing the new partnership at the owners meeting, Chudada also spoke about the endless potential and possibilities that the partnership could bring. The team owners have all embraced this idea and are eager to contribute to the overall success.

The IFL prides itself on its unrelenting determination in continuing to improve and upgrade the League each year and to never rest on its laurels. So far in 2010, the IFL has had a busy off-season in which many exciting League advancements have already been made. With the weekly highlight show in the works and the ability to potentially broadcast the show on television, the IFL continues to remain the model of semi-pro football excellence and will have one more proverbial feather of accomplishment to add to its cap.
