The Cyclones air raid specialist: Brad Dement
July 2, 2006
Brad Dement has football running through his veins. He started playing quarterback in Pop Warner and has continued through high school at Beloit Memorial and through college at Carroll. Dement plays in the IFL for the Oak Creek Cyclones. He is a four year veteran in the league with the past 3 years playing for the now defunct Waukesha County Soldiers.
Throughout the years Brad has earned many awards which include being selected an all-conference collegiate player while at Carroll and now a three time IFL all star. He is also the single season record holder in yards and completions while at Carroll College.
Brad says, "I keep playing because I love the competition and camaraderie that football possesses. Football to me has given me direction in life and has related to everything I do in life, it has given me desire, compassion, dedication, ability to set and achieve goals, teamwork, and respect. Basically, football to me is a great tool for teaching qualities that you need in life on the field as well as off."
Brad not only plays football but he passes on his knowledge by coaching both as the quarterback coach at Carroll College and as the offensive coordinator at Wauwatosa East High School. Brad also coaches various quarterback camps throughout the summer. He has plans to run his own quarterback lessons next summer and is currently working on a quarterback book and instructional series. He is also a dedicated physical education and health teacher.
