Madison, WI – The Ironman Football League has come to an agreement with the Rock City Raptors and the newly formed Wisconsin Wolfpack of the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) that will give the IFL special recognition by honoring the leagues player contracts if in the event a player indicates their intentions to play for either team.

IFL CEO Chris Chudada stated that, “The deal to honor all current and future IFL player contracts is a deal only made to the Ironman Football League which in turn shows the league big time respect.”

All IFL contracted players will be protected unless that particular player desires to leave his IFL team to play on the next level, either with the Raptors or Wolfpack. In the event that happens the Raptors or Wolfpack will be willing to compensate that particular IFL team for that player’s services.

Jordan Kopac, owner of the Rock City Raptors and Wisconsin Wolfpack of the CIFL and now a minority owner of the IFL, had this to say. “Having watched the evolution of the IFL over the last several years one has to conclude it has made giant steps and can now be considered one of the best organized and functioning adult amateur football leagues in the country. Coming from a league that played its games on 80 yard fields in baseball outfields to the best local football facilities in the area the owners, coaches, and players can be justifiably proud of their accomplishments.”

“It is for those reasons and all those that attach to a well organized and functioning league we enthusiastically entered into an agreement with the IFL. By virtue of that agreement the IFL is the only league that we will recognize and honor the contracts they have with their players. We will deal with the IFL in an orderly fashion in the event any of their players indicate a desire to play indoor football with the Wisconsin Wolfpack and the Wisconsin Wolfpack would like them to be on their active roster.” Kopac said.

The Wisconsin Wolfpack have setup home in Madison, bringing the area quality and affordable, seven-on-seven indoor football. The Wolfpack are members of the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) and will play their home games in the Veterans Memorial Coliseum at the Alliant Energy Center.

Madison has a rich sports tradition, between the University of Wisconsin-Madison sports teams, Madison Mallards baseball, Madison Capitals hockey, the Madison Mustangs and slews of other teams that have called the capital city home.
