Menomonee Falls, WI – Last Thursday night members of the Martin Club gathered at the Silver Spring Country Club in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin to celebrate its annual recognition banquet. The banquets theme was to celebrate the Martin Club’s great accomplishments over the years and to recognize those who have served with outstanding dedication.

The Club’s president Jon Grimm invited Chris Chudada, owner of the Ironman Football League to be this year’s guest speaker for the banquet. It was fitting that the theme of the night was based on accomplishments as Chudada spoke to the 155 members in attendance about a dream he had back in 1996 and how he made that dream into a reality.

Chudada told the members how the Ironman Football League started and why it was so important that semi-pro football in general needed a quality league like the IFL. What impressed the audience the most is how the IFL continually improves every year and the strides the league has made throughout the semi-pro community on a national level.

“It was an honor to share with everyone here what the Ironman Football League is all about.” said Chudada. “There a lot of football fans here tonight in the audience, and for the most part I think they really enjoyed not just the football aspect but to hear that there is a football league here in Wisconsin that is also really making strides in the community off the field as well.”

The Martin Club is a Lutheran fraternal organization.  The members consist of Lutheran laymen who enjoy fellowship with their brothers in faith. They are committed to financially supporting ministries and charitable service organizations beyond that of the churches to which members belong.

Annually the Club allocates funds raised by the membership to Lutheran secondary and higher education institutions; special schools; instructional and outreach ministries; and counseling and family service organizations.

Each year, pastors of the churches to which Martin Club members belong and heads of the charities who are currently receiving financial support from the Club are invited to a recognition banquet.
