Conference championship weekend

August 13 , 2007 Muskego Hitmen

After an exciting wildcard round of hard hitting IFL action, only 4 teams remain on the road to Iron Bowl IX.

The Muskego Hitmen were too much for the up and coming West Allis Predators as the Hitmen prevailed 28-7.

The Madison Mustangs came into the playoff game against the Lake Country Cyclones as the number 2 seed in the National Conference and didn’t disappoint, as they beat the Cyclones 15-13.

In the American Conference, the Roscoe Rush destroyed the Burlington Blue Devils 31-6 and the Franklin Outlaws blanked the McHenry County Pirates from 22-0.

Saturday, August 18th at the Milwaukee County Sports Complex in Franklin will feature the Conference Championships. At 6pm, the Muskego Hitmen will battle the Madison Mustangs for the right to go to Iron Bowl IX. It’s always a great game when these two teams get together; look for an explosive game as both teams possess high powered offenses and cat quick defenses.

Then at 8pm, The Roscoe Rush will take on the Franklin Outlaws in an all out war. Both teams had impressive wins last week. The Outlaws are no stranger to the Conference Championship game, they been here before last year but lost.

The Outlaws are out to prove they are Championship caliber as they set their sights on the number one seed in the American Conference, the Roscoe Rush. The Rush has been playing great all year round and hope to continue their winning ways this Saturday night against the Outlaws.
