Greene appointed Hall of Fame director

November 7, 2007

Pat Mace has been the Ironman Football League Hall of Fame Director since the Hall was created in 2003. He has done a successful job with all of its day to day business needs and takes pride in the work he does so that its most deserving inductees can enjoy their prestigious honor for the rest of their lives.

That’s quiet an accomplishment despite Mace living in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, five hours away from the league office. The league has steadily grown bigger and better recently and with all the recent success that the Ironman Football League has received also meant that the day to day operations of the Hall of Fame has significantly doubled.

With the work load doubling and living five hours away, Mace decided that the HOF needed someone that is local and that can give the same dedication and commitment he has shown for the last four years. That is why he has appointed Dan Greene, his long time colleague and fellow committee member the new director of the Hall of Fame.

“This was not the time to be selfish; this decision is based solely on the Hall of Fame’s best interest.” Mace said.   Pat Mace will still serve as a member of the Hall of Fame committee where he will continue to help the Hall flourish.

Greene has been a committee member for three years where he always worked hard and showed the dedication that is necessary to succeed. Greene is looking forward to the new challenges that await him as director and is excited about his new role.

The transition will be a smooth one as Greene already knows the ins and outs of the business and plans to start work immediately.
