2008 League line-up announced
December 1, 2007
The league office announced Wednesday night that it has accepted a total of four new teams for 2008. The league has also concluded its team evaluation process for next year and is excited about the new talent that was brought in.
“I’m very happy with the new teams that we accepted.” Chudada said. “I definitely think the competition of the IFL has gone up a couple notches. “We took our time and did not want to rush the process and we are very satisfied with the results.”
The league will have a total of fourteen teams just like last year with the newest members being the Oak Creek Renegades, Wawautosa Spartans, Rock County Gladiators and the St. Francis Monarchs.
Because of the amount of new teams the league is currently in the process of realigning the Conferences. The league has said that realignment would be done for mainly travel and competition purposes; it plans to unveil the newly realigned Conferences sometime after Christmas.
