July 2, 2007
The Ironman Football League is proud to announce that it’s Commissioner Pete Narrai has been inducted into the National Minor League Football News Hall of Fame. Pete’s induction is not only well deserved but it serves as a testament to his accomplishments that he has made in the IFL. Pete will be part of the distinguished class of 2007 and will be under the Executive category for managerial excellence.
The Minor League Football Hall of Fame is holding its fourth annual induction ceremony on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at the Oasis Resort/Casino in Mesquite, Nevada. The Oasis Resort is the official home of the Hall of Fame, and has a large wall with names of all past inductees listed, plus a trophy case for memorabilia located in the Sports Bar. A Happy Hour from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. features the music of Ron Shy (Class of 2006), who plays the piano and sings. Ron has played backup on 30 gold albums with some of the biggest names in the entertainment business, and performs in Las Vegas as backup to big name stars.
The banquet is held in the Convention Center of the Oasis Resort, and featured a fabulous sit down buffet dinner. Room rates at the Oasis (AAA rated) are a third of the cost of staying in Vegas. For more info on the Oasis go to www.oasisresort.com. Its located 80-miles north of Las Vegas and featured 5 championship golf courses.
In conjunction with the Hall of Fame Banquet, the Far West Football Association will play two championship games on Friday and Saturday night, and the Minor League All-Stars play the Copper League All-Stars on Saturday afternoon at Virgin Valley High in Mesquite.
Owner/CEO of the Ironman Football League Chris Chudada had this to say about Pete, “When I got the letter of Pete’s acceptance into the Hall of Fame, I was overjoyed because with out Pete’s help and guidance the Ironman Football League would not be as successful as it is now. Pete and I have developed a strong relationship with each other over these past 5 years not only as business partners but as a father and son relationship. I’ve been very fortunate that I have had the opportunity to work with a man of Pete’s caliber and unlimited experience. No one is more deserving of this honor than Pete Narrai.” Congratulations Pete!!
