Renegades eager to make their mark
March 10, 2008
Oak Creek, WI – As the 2008 season nears, the Oak Creek Renegades have already gotten off to an early start by starting practices in early February.
With a team that consists evenly of IFL veterans and fresh faces, the Renegades are poised to make a strong push to have a successful season in their first year. “The amount of talent that we've been able to recruit has been tremendous and I look forward to seeing how it all adds up on the football field,” stated Patrick Hansen, the owner of the Renegades.
With a pro-style offense with a wide assortment of formations, the Renegades are poised to make a statement as a serious contender in the IFL. What the team lacks in front office personnel, the team makes up for in team chemistry and organization and that seems to suit Patrick just fine. “I prefer to have less people in the front office because having more people tend to get cluttered which results in miscommunication or projects failing.” stated Patrick.
One area that the Renegades have committed to in their first year is a dedication to the community. Currently, the Renegades have a charity softball tournament to benefit the Salvation Army of Oak Creek. In addition, the Renegades have partnered with the New Berlin Panthers to host a charity football game to benefit the Child Abuse Prevention Fund of Children's Hospital of Milwaukee. All proceeds will be given to the CAP Fund and the event looks to really cater to the youth of Milwaukee.
Anyone interested in volunteering for this event or sponsoring this event, please contact Patrick Hansen of the Oak Creek Renegades. Although the Renegades have gotten off to an early start to their pre-season, they are still far from settling their roster. &ldquot; We have many roster positions open and we encourage anyone interested in playing to contact us or attend our practice,” added Patrick.
