Rush introduce coaches show

Roscoe, IL – The Roscoe Rush football team has announced they have reached an agreement with Comcast to air a weekly Rush Coaches Show on Comcast channel 57. Cronies Bar &Grill in Machesney Park will be the site for the Rush Coaches Show every Sunday afternoon during the 2008 Rush season. The first show looks to be on air at the beginning of May.

The show will be hosted by Doug Smith, who also handles some Public Relation duties for the Roscoe Rush. His connection with Rush football began in 2003, when he was a sports editor for Boone County Sports.com. Doug played a huge part in making the Rush a successful team in the community during their inaugural season.

Cronies Bar & Grill, at 9032 North Second St in Machesney Park , has casual, full service dining room that serves everything from pizza and pastas to burgers and fries. They also offer a full service bar with live entertainment.

“We are honored to have the Roscoe Rush and Comcast channel 57 here every Sunday afternoon to air their coach’s show from our great restaurant,” said Tim Bent, Cronies owner. “I have had the privilege to meet the people involved in putting this show together along with the Rush players and coaches and I am looking forward to working with them and making this show successful. We hope to see all of the Rush fans every Saturday night after games, and every Sunday afternoon at Cronies this season.”

The Rush will take the field for the first time in 2008 with a preseason game against the Milwaukee Venom on Sunday, May 18th at 7pm. The game will be played at the Milwaukee Sports Complex in Franklin, WI. The Rush open their regular season Saturday, June 7th against the Rock County Gladiators in Beloit at 3pm.
