IFL unveils Smash Mouth magazine

May 4, 2008

The league office announced last Saturday that it will launch a new magazine called “Smash Mouth.” The magazine will be solely dedicated to the Ironman Football League and will be available by the 2008 season opener.

The magazine, which will be produced biannually, will include coverage on all 14 teams of the Ironman Football League. It will have the latest news from around the league, team and player profiles, fan forums, polls, contests, team schedules, team information, color photography and feature stories written by the magazines hired reporters.

The launch of Smash Mouth magazine comes on the heels of an already very busy off-season for the IFL with little sign of slowing down. Chris Chudada, Owner/CEO of the IFL said last Saturday that he is very satisfied with all the accomplishments the league has made this off-season and is very excited about the new magazine.

“I’ve wanted to do something like this for a while but lacked the resources; now with those resources in place I think the fans and the players of the IFL will really enjoy not just the magazine, but the concept as well.” Chudada added.

The 35-plus page magazine will be the first of its kind in the semi-pro football ranks and will feature a glossy finish, professional design and production, and entertaining editorial features and photography. Smash Mouth magazine is predicted to have a considerable shelf-life, giving advertisers a durable venue that will reach readers throughout the entire Ironman Football League season. Price of the magazine will be announced soon.

"Football is king in Wisconsin, and we will continue to provide a quality style of football to fans, teams, players and their families  that is unmatched anywhere in the state," Says Chudada.

The Ironman Football League and the local business’s that sponsor the magazine see the magazines value. It will serve as one of the many tools to strengthening the leagues bond with its many communities and will provide another venue to reach out to all of its fans

The uniqueness and innovation of a magazine like this is just one of the ways the Ironman Football League sets itself a part from all other leagues. In addition to the magazines exclusivity, it will also feature fundraising opportunities and ideas for its teams to take advantage of.

"I am very excited about the possibilities of this magazine, the IFL already has a great reputation throughout the country as a quality and respected football league and I believe this new magazine will allow us to better serve our sponsors and communities while expanding the quality and professionalism of the Ironman Football League. This magazine will be a keepsake for every IFL fan out there,” Chudada said.
