Spartans set sights on coming season
November 5th , 2007
The Ironman Football League has already had a successful off-season which will ensure a very productive and exciting 2008 season. The league has brought a lot of positive change for next season which includes the addition of several new quality teams.
One of those teams is the newly formed Wauwatosa Spartans who everyone is already talking about. Headquartered in historic Wauwatosa, the team is co-owned and operated by Adam Kujath and Luke Kujath – both IFL veterans.
“We’ve been a part of some successful teams, but the team we’re forming has its sights set on nothing less than an Iron Bowl Championship in its first year of existence,” said Adam Kujath. “But success on the field is only part of what we’re building here; we want the experience to be fun for players and fans, so we’re also making it a point to assemble a team filled with quality individuals who will develop genuine team camaraderie.”
Added Adam, “It’s on like Donkey Kong.”
The team will play its home games at Wisconsin Lutheran College’s Raabe Field in Wauwatosa, as well as additional home games at Schneider Stadium on the campus of Carroll College in Waukesha.
“We feel like we’re bringing a new dimension to the IFL,” said Luke Kujath. “We’ve already helped secure along with the league two of the premier football fields in Southeastern Wisconsin, and are looking to build on that success in the coming months with our other ventures – including becoming a well-respected organization in our community.”
The Spartans have recruited a lot of familiar IFL players as well as an impressive crop of new talent. Currently, the team is recruiting additional players, coaches and volunteers for the upcoming season. Anyone interested is encouraged to contact the team at via email at info@wauwatosaspartans.com.
The league has already granted the Spartans to host some games on opening weekend set for June 7th, 2008 at the newly renovated Schneider Stadium at Carroll College. For more information on the Wauwatosa Spartans, visitors can browse the team’s Web site at www.wauwatosa-spartans.com.
