Monarchs at a Glance
The Monarchs were formed in 2008 and originally called St. Francis home. In 2009 the Monarchs will be playing their home games at Shorewood High school. Led by team owner Chris Hill, the Monarchs are determined to be a dominating force on the field and to serve the community with merit off it. The team motto is: Striving for superiority in football and the community with undying love for the game!
About the Community
Shorewood is a village in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, and according to the 2000 census has a population of 13,763. Shorewood is bordered by Milwaukee to the south and west, Whitefish Bay, WI to the north, and Lake Michigan to the east. The 329 meter high WITI TV Tower located in Shorewood, was once one of the tallest lattice towers in the world. Hayek's Pharmacy is a drugstore located at 4001 N. Downer Ave, the old interior of which was featured on the cover of the Images of America book on Shorewood's historic buildings. Downer is the oldest retail building in Shorewood, dating back to the turn of the 20th century.
