July 20, 2008
The games that were canceled due to severe weather conditions in week one will be played on August 9th pushing the playoffs back one week. The teams that were able to play a full game that week will have a bye.

The Oak Creek Renegades have dissolved and are no longer a member of the Ironman Football League due to their lack of players to properly field a team.

Because Roscoe Rush’s home field is currently under water, their first three home games will be played at Pecatonica High School.

The IFL and the United Sports Coaching Academy are holding a Skills camp for all IFL players that will run every Saturday from April 12th to June 1st. The idea of this camp is to improve IFL players Offensive and Defensive Skills. These camps will be video recorded and will serve as an educational tool for the players and teams.

The camp will be held at:

There have been 2 schedule changes. 1) The June 28th Venom vs. Pirates game will be played at the Milwaukee County Sports Complex; kickoff will be at 7pm. 2) The July 26th Mustangs vs. Panthers game has been moved to July 27th and will start at 5pm.

As we end the successful 2007 campaign and move to the off-season, the IFL would like to thank its loyal and devoted fans who came out every weekend to root on their favorite teams and special players. Thousands of fans crossed through the gate this year into IFL stadiums were they saw the modern day gladiators of the IFL perform at a high level playing the game they love. To the Moms, Dads, girlfriends, brothers, sisters, wives and the average fan, thank you for your support. We hope to see all of you back next season as we get ready to travel the road to Iron Bowl XII.

Spartans dance team tryouts
The Wauwatosa Spartans will be holding tryouts for their signature dance troupe May 13th through the 15th at Carroll College in the Ganfield Dance Studio from 6-8pm. Carroll College Blaze dance coach Betsy Savides has signed on to coach the squad which will perform at all home games and as well as make public appearances. Applicants should be 18 or older, with high energy and a positive attitude. All levels of dancers are encouraged to tryout. Monarchs Madden tourney
The St. Francis Monarchs will hold our first annual Madden Video game tournament on April 19th from 1-7 at Quarters Bar 900 E Centers on the Eastside of Milwaukee. Gladiators cheerleading tryouts
The Rock County Gladiators will be holding cheerleading tryouts on April 13th, 2008 at Parker High School 10:00am - 2:00pm. All applicants must be willing to fill out an application. The cost is $30.00 to tryout. Requirements are Jumps, Stunts, Dance (learned at tryouts).

Rush Hall of Fame inductees
They haven’t sculpted bronze statues yet for the Rush semi-pro football Hall of Fame, but maybe one day they will. In the meantime, the inductees line up for 2008. Lloyd Meyers, Brett Gassman, Greg Huebbe and D.L. Smith made the ballot as the Roscoe Rush announced the 2008 Rush Hall of Fame Class.
